The Wu-Chi School of Arts is a unique community aid organisation that uses martial art as an agent to make moral principles and character development attractive to young people, especially to those young men who would otherwise develop an abusive or violent mentality.

Following the success of our trial programs within selected regions, in New Zealand and overseas, we are now looking for ways for Wu-Chi to do this work throughout the western world – developing a presence in modern society as the Boy Scouts did during the 50’s and early 60’s.

During our trial programs in new areas, we found that Wu-Chi venues achieved full operational status (with maximum patronage) within the first month of opening their doors to the public.

In the case of tough, rough and aggressive young men, the growth in membership parallels the patronage dynamics of a new McDonald's restaurant, in that with the right marketing program the Wu-Chi School of Arts opens its doors to an instant market.

We are forecasting that in areas of 30,000 to 40,000 people, we will have between 300 to 400 students training in our classes, 30 to 40 of whom would be young men who have a real tendency towards abusive and aggressive, or even violent behavior.

Wu-Chi Student's Appetite for our Martial Art
On average students train 2 - 3 times per week in our classes. Before they leave the School, over 90% of them will have attended a minimum of 500 hours of instruction and will have spent a further 2,000 to 3,000 hours training and studying between classes at home, or with each other, in preparation for their gradings.

However, those with a 'hard-core' disposition towards fighting and the use of force, often do 3 to 4 times as much as this before satisfying their ego.
